To make the most of this opportunity this is what we need from you: If you are a Co-op member please go onto the Co-op site and open your membership page. Please choose Dore Scout Group as your chosen local charity. As this is a new funding period all members have to re-choose their chosen charity. If you aren't a Co-op member: PLEASE sign up for a Blue Co-op Membership card; either in one of the Co-op stores, or online at coop.co.uk. Once you have the blue Membership card you can go online OR call the Membership team on 0800 023 4708, select 267th Dore Scout Group as your chosen Co-op Membership local charity. The Co-op Nationwide Community Fund Project

We are delighted to announce that Kath Ruddiforth, manageress of the Dore Co-op and all her staff, have recognised the community work done by 267th Dore Scout Group and have appointed it as one of their preferred local charities. The Community Fund is open from 12th of November 2017 until the 27th of October 2018. This means  they have supported the Group's ambition to purchase a defibrillator machine for use of the Scouts and the Village, and  in addition, support funding for safety equipment (high visibility jackets, First Aid items etc), and the running and maintenance of the Scout HQ in Dore.  See details above on how you can support us.    

Annual Bonfire

Our traditional Bonfire Night celebration will take place on the 3rd of November this year at Parkers Field situated on Rushley Road/Limb Lane.  The gates will open at 6.30pm to allow everyone to get onto Parker’s Field and browse the different stalls. We offer: hot & cold drinks, baked potatoes with different fillings, roasted chestnuts, treacle toffee, toffee apples, and our famous burgers & hotdogs. There will also be the chance to buy flash bands and novelties. Listen out for our own PA system – David Hayes entertains and gives us useful info as the night proceeds. The prices this year will remain the same as last year: £3 per ticket  with under 5s free. A family ticket for 2 adults & 2 children under 10 years of age is £10. The fire will be lit at approx. 7.15pm. The HSBC display can be seen from about 7.30pm followed by our own display at approx. 7.45pm. Looking forward to seeing you all on the night.  

Remembrance Day 11th November 2018

All Setions will wear full uniform and a poppy as a sign of respect. The Parade will meet at The Meadway and march from there behind the band at 10.30am. The service will take place by the war memorial. The parade will march back to the Meadway for approx 11.15am.
