Due to the Covid -19 pandemic we had to cancel our main fund raising events in 2020: our Annual Dore Scout & Guide Gala, + Bonfire & Firework Display Event. We have had to cancel the Gala again this year. This has meant we are relying on Member Subscriptions. Our subscription fee from September 2020 per member is £50 per term (we use the school term dates). Each year in January we have to pay the Scout Association a capitation fee. This is a payment for each Beaver, Cub and Scout that attends our Scout Group. The fee is £49.50. We pay this fee on behalf of parents whose young people attend our Scout Group. Without fund raising events we will struggle to pay for the up-keep of our Scout building, Scout mini bus & to provide exciting & fun activities and Camps we have in our usual programmes.
We have been asked by people how they can support us by making a donation to our Scout Group. See the information given below. Please note that all donation money goes directly to our Scout Group. All our Leaders, Assistant Leaders, Skills Assistants and Parent Helpers are all volunteers. They do not receive any money from the Scout Group - they offer their time and support freely.
